Book are our best friends
they help us always
Books are our knowledge pool
to succeed in life they are great tool.
Reading books has started from a very early young age. My mom has a great way of developing our reading habits. She used to cut large sizes, colourful pictures from wherever she could get and paste them onto newspapers and make them huge books to flip through. As toddlers, we were enticed by the visuals, those were real eye treats. We learned about fruits, vegetables, names of personalities, places, monuments just by looking at these pictures time & again.
Both of our parents used to read out stories from books & slowly when we grew up listening to them, we started doing it turn wise, if today mom, then next day Dad, then my sister and after that me, so, in this way we started reading storybooks to tell stories and the best part was who’s going to narrate it in the most lively & interesting way would be rewarded as the winner and would gorge on an ice-cream or an Aaloo chaat treat.
So, we started imagining & visualising while reading books, so we could present it that way.
From then to now, me and my sister are hugely proud of owning an ocean of books and that goes deep down to our childhood days where this books affair has started having no full stop to it.
Books are our real best friends, they give us answers in the most surprising way whenever our mind dwells over something and would not be getting a clue of a thing.
In my life, I thank my stars for blessing us with such sensible parents who instilled this lifelong habit of reading books in both of us that kindle us in our trying times and elevate us in most profound ways.
